Initially, I began writing on MothIncarnate. It was a space where I took to the odd rant over whatever had been plaguing my mind. As environmental ignorance is prevailing in most corners of the “free and industrious world”, this of course became a theme of mine. So much so I eventually put MI to rest and began focusing on environmental issues alone on the new space New Anthropocene.

But I lost enthusiasm. I’m not just a one note bloke and I had pigeon-holed myself. To avoid the pointless meanderings of dolts whom wish to persist with this way of slow death, I became politically correct and stunted.

Here, I’m returning to the principles that lead to my initial space, however I needed to start fresh as this is to be a space where I can truly start fresh. I want to be more experimental here and hope to spark debate.

If you enjoy it, please let me know – I hate a monologue more than anything  and don’t for a second believe that I have the answers, but instead a lust for clarity and understanding. If you don’t like it, well, hit Google search again and you’ll find something else more to your liking.

I won’t be for everyone, but that’s what truly makes our species special.

I was inspired with the name of the new blog by a quote by Richard Feynman, “The first principle is that you must not fool yourself, and you are the easiest person to fool.”

The biggest irritant in my life is ego; where people assume to know something or freely reject understanding because of the cheap philosophical line, “we can’t truly know anything…” / “science doesn’t know everything…”

The truth is somewhere in the middle, however it relies heavily on the evidence-dependent principles of scientific methodology. Hanging too close to either edge will end in tragedy.
